A regional reception is a program hosted by Grand Valley State University in a specific location. The idea is to take Grand Valley State University to the students. The program includes a faculty speaker, alumni speaker and information about admissions, financial aid, and housing. The receptions are generally held at a conference site such as a hotel and are done during the fall semester. The goal is to introduce Grand Valley to high school seniors and their parents and encourage them to visit the campus.
