What is the AI Collective?

The AI Collective is a recurring, low-pressure, multidisciplinary forum designed for the GVSU community to discover, explore, and experiment with AI tools in a low-stakes environment. It serves as a "community kitchen" where we move beyond the hype to focus on critical AI literacy, ethical boundaries, and practical applications that protect the human-centered mission of our university.

How it Works

The Collective will meet monthly in an 90-minute, interactive format:

• Community Builder (15 min): A quick check-in on tools and trials.
• Topic Presentation (25 min): Short, practical case studies led by experts.
• "Show & Tell" Demo (20 min): A live look at tools, focusing on practical use and spotting errors/hallucinations.
• Facilitated Open Discussion (30 min): Collaborative dialogue to tackle challenges and shape university policy.
