  • Counseling (students)
    The University Counseling Center offers confidential services at no cost to current students at GVSU.  Services include immediate crisis counseling, short-term therapy, help with referrals, and linkage to campus and community resources.

  • Victim Advocacy (students)
    The Victim Advocate is available to provide non-judgmental, private support to student survivors of gender-based violence, which can play a critical role in the healing process. The Victim Advocate at GVSU is specially trained to help students navigate options and services available to them on campus and in the community.

  • Disability Support Resources

  • Safewalk Program 
    Safewalk is a free service provided by the Department of Public Safety at GVSU.  Public Safety employees will accompany students, staff, and visitors who feel unsafe walking alone, across campus. The primary goal of Safewalk is to allow safe travel from one location to another with a greater sense of security.  Learn more by visiting the Safewalk page.
     
  • Laker Guardian App 
    Laker Guardian is a free mobile safety app. The emergency call button can send an immediate alert to GVPD with a single click, providing the user's information and GPS location to Police. Users can also send text or photos directly to GVPD if they witness something suspicious. Learn more by visiting the Laker Guardian page.
     
  • Employee Assistance (employees)
    Encompass is a third-party, confidential resource that offers 24/7 crisis support, consultation, and coaching at no cost for current GVSU employees.
