Resources and Support

GVSU provides multiple systems and resources to support efficient and successful strategic planning, assessment, and accreditation activities across campus. Visit the individual sites below to learn more about each resource.

GVAdvance

GVAdvance is a website developed in-house at Grand Valley State University. It contains tools for reporting, including GVPlan, GVAssess, GVStability, and GVReview.

The GVAdvance system is viewable by all faculty and staff at GVSU. However, access permissions are required to edit content or add new information into the system. Please contact Phuong Vo ([email protected]) if you need editing access and/or to update your permissions within GVAdvance.

EAC Visual Data

EAC Visual Data is an assessment tool within the Blackboard Learn system.

EAC allows individual faculty members to have more detailed insights (e.g., reliability statistics) on their tests and assignments.

EAC also allows programs/departments to collect and analyze student data across courses to streamline their assessment and/or accreditation processes.

Faculty Qualifications Assurance

Faculty Qualifications Assurance (FQA) is the process through which GVSU ensures that all teaching faculty are appropriately qualified. This process is required before anyone teaches GVSU credits. In Spring/Summer 2023, the Faculty Qualifications Assurance process shifted to a fully online system, and a system user guide has been developed for reference.

Further information regarding the guidelines and necessary information on the process can be found on the Office of the Provost website.
