  • Joseph McCargar, Affiliate Professor
    Affiliate Professor Joseph R. McCargar is in charge of the Sound Design emphasis as part of the Film and Video Major, and his courses in audio production serve majors in Broadcasting. He has been teaching at GVSU for some (27) years. Also a staff member at an area commercial recording studio for the past thirty years, Joseph has dozens of commercial CD releases to his credit and has traveled in Europe, Russia and Finland pursuing his interest in on-location recording of classical symphonic and choral music. He received his BS in Education and pursued masters studies at Central Michigan Univesrity. Joseph is the faculty adviser for the "Scientists of Sound," a university-sponsored extra curricular organization for students who have special interests in sound and sound recording.  He received his BS in Eucation and pursued masters studies at Central Michigan Univesity. mccargaj@gvsu.edu
