The Positive Black Women's Scholarship is offered annually. The primary intent of the PBW Scholarship Endowment is to assist African American women in developing and achieving their academic goals. However, the scholarship is open to anyone that meets the criteria provided in the scholarship application. The scholarship stipend may be used for meeting the cost of tuition, payment of the on-campus housing deposit, purchase of books or other school supplies, assistance with the cost of child or adult care, or any other additional needs as determined by the Scholarship Committee. In most cases, the award will not surpass the cost of a three credit class. Each applicant upon request will be personally contacted by a member of the Scholarship Committee to welcome and assist the applicant through the application process.
Applicants must reapply annually for the scholarship. The application and selection process has ended for the 2012/2013 academic year. When the 2013/2014 academic year application process begins, applications will be available for download on this site.
