Established by the City of Muskegon, Grand Valley State University, and the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, the Muskegon Innovation Hub (the Hub) is located in one of the state’s first SmartZones. While our original focus was clean energy technology, we have broadened our horizons to target companies centered on innovation. Our goal is to be a key partner in the region’s economic development ecosystem, supporting startup businesses, entrepreneurs, and corporate innovation teams.
The Hub Business Incubator helps transform emerging entrepreneurs into successful companies. Our highly personalized approach focuses on maximizing growth potential and positioning our clients for long-term success. Incubator clients gain invaluable connections to game-changing resources and mentorship to help them navigate the path to market.
Our coworking space, CoLaunch, is a one-stop shop for entrepreneurs, freelancers, remote corporate professionals, and creative thinkers seeking a community-driven work environment. It provides low-cost workspace and amenities, organic networking opportunities, as well as access to on-site business training tools and resources.
As a state-designated SmartZone, the Hub helps clients pursue competitive state funding opportunities that provide critical resources for budding or growing businesses. The Hub has helped multiple businesses each year harness the funding necessary to move towards commercialization.
