Graduate Student Orientation - Fall 2014
The next Graduate Student Orientation will be held on Wednesday, August 20, 2014.
This orientation is intended to supplement any academic program orientation that you may be expected to attend. The goal is to provide an opportunity for new graduate students to become acquainted with the available services and resources, meet new people, and take care of related business, including schedule adjustments or payments, obtaining a photo ID, purchasing textbooks, etc.
New Graduate Student Presentation: Provides an introduction and overview of services and resources available to graduate students. To accommodate your needs, you can attend either of the two sessions. Additionally, if you have previously attended Grand Valley State University as an undergraduate, you need only attend the first half of the program
2 PM to 4 PM
6 PM to 8 PM
Resource Fair. Features representatives from 20 GVSU departments and area agencies along with tasty refreshments.
4 PM to 6 PM
FREE PARKING IS AVAILABLE IN SEWARD, WINTER, AND MOUNT VERNON LOTS!
Why should you attend?
¨ Learn about graduate programs, services, and resources
¨ Familiarize yourself with our online library catalog, database searches, and how to access assigned class readings
¨ Learn how to access and navigate the University's web site, email system, and Blackboard course ware.
¨ Learn about parking, free bus services, and campus dining options.
