What are Outside Scholarships? Scholarships provided by agencies, foundations, or other providers not affiliated with Grand Valley State University.
What are Fellowships? Funding opportunities for bright and talented students to pursue study, research, public or foreign service, at both the undergraduate and graduate level in the U.S. and abroad.
Some external scholarships and fellowships are nationally competitive award opportunities. Some of these awards do require institutional certification or endorsement by the university. The Frederik Meijer Office of Fellowships supports student scholars in pursuit of nationally competitive award opportunities through advising services and programming, they are located temporarily in 120 Niemeyer.

Based On Your Search Criteria
Answer two questions to apply for this scholarship; preference given to students with a background or interest in sales, although all students are welcomed to apply.
Write an essay (500-1000 words) explaining your career and life goals. Open to students of any major.
Write an essay (1000 words or fewer) describing why you are passionate about science, technology, engineering or math.
Essay-based scholarship for undergraduate students.
Essay based scholarship (500-750 words) on the topic of distracted driving. Open to students in any major.
Submit a 500-700 word essay describing the career you want to pursue and how your education can contribute to the American Dream.
Several scholarships available for adult students who are residents of Newaygo County.
Video essay based scholarship open to all students.
Essay based scholarship on the topic of what you consider a successful life; open to students in any major (you do not need to be taking Engineering courses).
Scholarship for currently enrolled students working toward a degree in a field of business.
