Description: The Mission of the Ada Council for the Arts is to encourage artistic expression in all of its forms and to enhance, through the arts, the quality of life in our community. To that end, the Council has determined to sponsor and support local education in the arts.

Eligibility:

• Be prospective first year entering freshman GVSU
• Be a resident of Michigan
• Candidates must be accepted by Grand Valley and be full time seeking a degree in one of the many visual arts programs offered through Art and Design.
• Preference given to residents of Ada Township, Cascade Township, Grand Rapids Township or Vergennes Township
• Candidates must demonstrate their experience and participation in the arts. Art and Design Majors must present a portfolio of work, outline art camps, classes, exhibitions or awards.
• Demonstration of financial need is not required although should the top candidates have equal academic qualifications, but may be considered. Must file FAFSA.
