Cost of Attendance

Grand Valley is one of the most affordable colleges in Michigan.  The information provided below will help you understand our tuition, housing, meal plan, and parking permit costs.

Tuition is based on the classification of the student and the course: undergraduate lower or upper division, graduate, resident, or non-resident.  These are figures for the 2011-2012 academic year.

Based on 14+ full service meal plan for students living on campus in traditional style university housing. Other housing and meal plan options are available.

Transportation

Varies

Parking cost is $330 per year if you are a full time student bringing a car to campus.  Bus transportation is free between the Allendale and Grand Rapids campuses. Students not residing on campus should estimate their living and transportation costs on an individual basis.

Personal Expenses

Estimated amount a full-time student may choose to spend on social activities and other personal needs.

 

Some Grand Valley colleges, schools, and departments carry an additional tuition charge per credit hour for 300 level and above courses. The charge offsets the higher costs in those particular areas. Click here for a listing of specific course charges.
