Why did you choose to attend Grand Valley?
I saw it was pretty much the perfect size for me. I came here for my first visit and I fell in love with how it looked and the people who were around here.

What do you like best about Grand Valley?
I just love the fact that Grand Valley allows you the transparency to talk to the administration. Being on Student Senate I've had the opportunity to talk to the dean of students. It's incredible to be able to have a really hands-on approach at my own university.

What advice would you give to prospective students?
Get involved, but don't procrastinate. Always carve out a little bit of time to remember that you are on campus for an education.

How will Grand Valley help you meet your future goals?
I was able to go on an Alternative Breaks trip to Franklin, NC, where I worked with children in an underserved community and I got to take care of infants. It really brought that humanitarian effort out of me and I think that's one of the greatest things I will ever take from Grand Valley.

How has Grand Valley's faculty made a difference in your college experience?
The faculty at Grand Valley is second to none. All of my professors are super friendly. I feel comfortable just walking up to them and talking to them after class.

How have you benefited from Grand Valley's liberal education foundation?
I went into criminal justice and by being able to take a general education course in political science, I realized that criminal justice was not for me, but political science was. Ever since then, I've been able to grow because of what Grand Valley has to offer me.
