Detroit Events
Here in Detroit, we host a variety of events and informational sessions for prospective students about what it takes to become a Laker! For admitted students, we host Admitted Student Day sessions to help you with the next steps.
Self-Guided Campus Tour
Take a self-guided in-person tour using our virtual tour guide! Using your mobile device while you visit campus, you'll get 360 degree images, videos, audio and text to highlight each stop on the tour.

School/Organization Group Visit
The Admissions Office is happy to host group visits for educational organizations. Visits include group presentations, followed by a campus tour. These group visits are designed specifically for schools/educational organizations looking to bring a group to campus. Scheduled in-person groups should have a minimum of 10 visitors and a maximum of 60.
Group visit requests should be submitted at least two weeks in advance to ensure availability. Once a request is submitted, an Admissions staff member will contact you to confirm visit date/details. If a request is submitted over the weekend, you will receive a response in 1-2 business days.
Group Visit Guidelines
- In-person group visits are offered Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM.
- Visits that include a presentation and campus tour will last approximately 2 hours.
- Some accommodations may be unavailable during the spring/summer months or during GVSU school breaks.
- Group visits are scheduled based on availability. Every attempt is made to accommodate date/time requests, however, office hours and campus events may limit availability.
- Please let us know in advance if there are any special accommodations required.
- Specific visit details can be discussed with the Admissions staff member during the visit confirmation process.
