Microbial Mat Story Featured in Eos

Decades after their discovery, Grand Valley and NOAA collaborated on summarizing current findings of the Lake Huron Sinkholes of Northeastern Michigan, and the microbial mats within for the AGU publication Eos. Written for the feature article, current findings, future directions, and implications of the research are discussed alongside spectacular images of the purple and white microbes that call these submerged sinkholes "Home".
