When is housing available?

Housing is available year round in Downtown Grand Rapids and May 7th through August 12th in Allendale. 2 bedroom and 4 bedroom options are available on the Allendale Campus during the summer, as well as 1 bedroom efficiency units and 2 bedroom units on the Pew Campus in Grand Rapids. During the school year, only the 1 bedroom efficiency units 2 bedroom units on the Pew Campus in Grand Rapids are available. 

How do I check into my unit?

If you are staying on the Allendale Campus, check-in will be located in the Niemeyer Living Center in Allendale and the Winter Hall Front Desk if you are staying on the Pew Campus in Grand Rapids.  

Are there any dining options available?

If you are staying short term during the summer, Which Wich and Starbucks are open, but with limited hours. During the school year, all dining halls are open and accept cash and credit cards. To explore off campus options, please visit our off campus dining options page. 

Is there a minimum stay requirement?

Yes, there is a two night minimum for most units on campus.

Where do I park? 

Guests are able to park in any of the residential lots on the Allendale campus during the summer.  Please contact our staff for parking instructions during the school year.  On the Pew Campus guests must get a parking permit from our security desk in the Eberhard Center.  For more information please visit Grand Valley's parking rules and regulations.

What time is check-out?

Check-out is at 12 p.m.  Keys must be returned to the front desk to avoid re-keying charges. 

What are the hours of the front desk?'

During the summer, the front desk in Niemeyer Living Center is open from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., but may vary depending on the volume of guests on campus. The Winter Hall front desk is open Monday-Saturday 10:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. and 12:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m. on Sunday. 

Are there laundry facilities available on campus?

Yes, we do have laundry facilities located on each floor for guest's use in Niemeyer and a laundry room on the first floor of Winter Hall.
