The door of the GVSU Career Center.

Ever felt uncertain or uneasy when you think about life after college? Need to find experiences during your time at GVSU but have no idea where to look? Any questions you have about interviews, resumes, or internships can be answered by the Career Center!

The Career Center, located at 200 Student Services on the Allendale campus and 101-B Devos Center on the Pew campus, has all the resources you need to help you feel confident and ready to become a professional.

They make it easy to find countless places looking to hire you! With their Resources page filled with career-oriented websites, all it takes is a few clicks to find tons of helpful information. Advisors will even help you navigate Handshake, a one-stop-shop for job opportunities and career information, and more.

Come into the Career Center for a simulated interview or bring your resume to a helpful staff member who’s willing to critique it until it’s ready for the world to see. You can schedule an appointment in Handshake or drop in to the CareerLab for help. They also have a super cool printer if you want your resume looking sharp after one of their amazing staff reviews it for you!

Mark your calendars or trusty planners! On Nov. 19 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m, the Career Center will be hosting a “Meet Your Career Advisor” event in the Holton-Hooker Multipurpose Room. This is your chance to find out who your career advisor is (and yes, you have one!), meet the staff of the Career Center, and ask all your career or major-related questions.

Want to learn more? Ready to have your cover letter or resume reviewed? Visit the Career Center online or in-person to find out about all the resources available to you! From internships to co-ops to jobs, the Career Center can help you find your place in the professional world.
