Jiri Aberle Wins Thomas Seykora Award

Let's congratulate Jiri Aberle, GVSU IR 2016, who won the Thomas Seykora Award for his "outstanding contribution to the campus community" and excellent academic standing. Some of you may know him as the exceptional GVSU hockey goalie, but his professors know him as a top-notch student. Jiri interned at the Czech embassy in Yerevan last summer. Beginning in September, Jiri will study at the Vienna Diplomatic Academy, with a full scholarship from the Austrian Scholarship Fund. His scholarship award is based on his academic record and his grandmother's status as a forced laborer during WWII.
