The Hub Welcomes Business Incubator Tenant, Acoustics By Design

The Muskegon Innovation Hub is happy to welcome its newest incubator tenant, Acoustics By Design!
Acoustics By Design is one of the nation’s leading independent acoustical consulting firms. With offices in Portland, Oregon and Grand Rapids, Acoustics By Design provides acoustical consulting services to architects, engineers, facility directors, municipalities, and building owners throughout the United States.
President of Acoustics By Design, Kenric Van Wyk, gave some technical presentations at the Hub, which initially drew him to consider the workplace. When an employee planned a relocation to Muskegon, it was a natural fit. Acoustics By Design has helped the West Michigan Symphony with their rehearsal space in the Russell Block Building, and is starting on the Arts & Humanity project renovations at Muskegon Community College.
“The Hub facility is state of the art, and their focus on sustainability matches our own company values,” said Van Wyk. “The proximity of the Hub to our West Michigan Symphony and Muskegon Community College projects and the opportunity to invest resources in the community was an excellent combination for Acoustics By Design.”
In addition to the physical working space at the Hub, Acoustics By Design plans on utilizing several incubator services to help their business capitalize on growth opportunities in the Midwest and beyond.
“I’m looking forward to better understanding strategic business planning, marketing, branding, and financial tools to leverage our business for the future,” said Van Wyk.
The Hub is excited for the opportunity to work with Acoustics By Design by providing both physical space and business consulting services. Kevin Ricco, Director at the Hub, said that Acoustics By Design is an excellent example of new business development in Muskegon.
