Beginning nursing school is an exciting milestone, and a big transition. This section will help you set yourself up for success before the semester begins by connecting with resources, preparing for the workload, and building a support system that lasts throughout the program.

Student Nurses Association (SNA)
Dedicated to empowering future nurses through student assistance and service at the local, state, national, and global levels.
Multicultural Student Nurses Organization (MSNO)
Dedicated to improving the experiences of students of color, within the college, by fostering preparedness in both the educational and professional realms of practice.
Course Expectations
About one week before the semester begins, your instructors will add you to each course’s Blackboard site. Once you have access, we strongly encourage you to:
- Download and review each course syllabus.
- Familiarize yourself with weekly expectations, due dates, and grading policies.
- Begin planning your study schedule and major assignment deadlines for the semester.
