K-12 Connect is a gateway for the university and its students to connect and engage with K-12 schools, families, and students to support them throughout their educational journey. We have policies in place to ensure the program runs smoothly.

Homework Help

Students are responsible for providing content or homework to work on each tutoring session. Tutors are not expected to bring content or curriculum to the session.

On Time/Late Policy 

Students are asked to check-in at the exact start time of their scheduled session.  If the student arrives early and the tutor is working with another student, they will be asked to leave and come back at the scheduled time. If the student is more than 10 minutes late, they may be marked as a no-show.

No Show Policy

K-12 Connect will contact parents (and notify the partner school teacher if applicable) after a student is absent for two consecutive sessions to determine students’ eligibility for continued participation. K-12 Connect values the time and energy of both students and tutors.

Cancellation/Change Policy

If a tutoring  session needs to be canceled or rescheduled, please do so at least 24 hours in advance to give K-12 Connect enough notice. Contact the tutor directly to cancel or reschedule the tutoring session.
