Network Self-Service Password Reset

GVSU students, faculty, and staff can reset their network/email account and G# account passwords online via the self-service password reset tool located at

Before you can reset your passwords online you must provide a personal email address and/or primary mobile number in myBanner so that a unique code can be sent to your email account or mobile device.

  • To update your personal information, log into Banner Self-Service, select "Personal Information," click "myProfile," and add a personal email address and/or primary mobile number.
  • If you are unable to log into Banner Self-Service, please contact the Help Desk at (616) 331-2101 or the Registrar's office at (616) 331-3327.

Some GVSU departments are restricted from utilizing the password reset tool for security reasons. If you work in a restricted department and need to reset your network/email account password, please call the IT Service Desk at (616) 331-2101.
