Job Summary: Join KANDLE and immerse yourself in the world of food service management. You’ll undergo pre-summer training and earn a ServSafe Food Safety Manager Certification. Your role will involve managing kitchen operations, assisting with food preparation, and ensuring top-notch service for campers and staff. This is a hands-on position where you’ll gain practical experience and essential skills for your career.

Key Responsibilities:

Kitchen Operations: Open and close the kitchen, recording equipment temperatures and ensuring all procedures are followed.

Food Preparation: Assist with food preparation and manage inventories to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

Staff Management: Create and manage weekly staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage and efficient workflow.

Client and Staff Communication: Maintain daily communication with clients and kitchen staff to address needs and resolve any issues.

Order Handling: Manage food orders and ensure timely and accurate delivery of supplies.

Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and dining area, adhering to hygiene and safety standards.

Dishwashing: Oversee dishwashing duties to ensure all kitchen equipment and utensils are clean.

Dining Area Setup: Set up the dining area before meals and ensure a welcoming environment for campers and staff.

Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any concerns or requests from campers and staff promptly.
