CAMPUS HIGHLIGHTS

GVSU Allendale Campus

Allendale Campus

Grand Valley State University's main campus is located in the town of Allendale, midway between downtown Grand Rapids and Lake Michigan. The natural land structure of Grand Valley's 1,300-acre campus is formed by deep, wooded ravines penetrating a high bluff that overlooks the Grand River to the east and gently rolling open fields to the west. The campus is designed to take advantage of the area's scenic wooded ravines as well as its open meadowlands.

Automobile traffic is routed along a main campus drive to parking lots at the edge of the academic areas. Winding walkways between buildings connect with a series of natural trails along the riverbank.

A 230-foot-long pedestrian bridge known as "Little Mac" spans a spectacular 70-foot-deep ravine to connect the north and south sections of the campus.

Grand Rapids Campuses

The 65-acre Pew Campus is located in the heart of Grand Rapids alongside the Grand River. The campus consists of 11 buildings, including two living centers, and is the main academic hub for students pursuing nursing, engineering, education, criminal justice, and more. The 14.5-acre Health Campus, part of the Grand Rapids Medical Mile, houses many of GVSU's health programs. While some students complete their entire degree on the Allendale campus, the Grand Rapids campuses are equipped with the same facilities and services to provide students with comprehensive student affairs and academic resources.
