GVSU to host prestigious international computing conference

"We are honored to welcome MODELS 25 to Grand Valley and to Grand Rapids,” said College of Computing Dean Marouane Kessentini. “Hosting one of the world’s most prestigious computing conferences reflects both the global stature of this community and the growing role of our College of Computing in advancing research, innovation and workforce development.”

Since its launch in 1998, the conference has been the premier international forum where researchers, academics and innovators can network, explore cutting-edge research, exchange ideas and share advances in systems engineering. 

This year’s program includes breakout sessions and workshops on emerging technologies in human-centered design, artificial intelligence, cyber-physical systems, embedded modeling, cloud computing, security and sustainability. 

“MODELS 25 brings together leading minds from around the globe who are shaping the future of computing from artificial intelligence and cybersecurity to human-centered design and sustainable technologies,” Kessentini said. 

“This is an extraordinary opportunity for our students, faculty and industry partners to engage with cutting-edge ideas that will define the next generation of digital systems."

MODELS 25 also marks the conference’s return to the United States for the first time since it was hosted at the University of Texas at Austin in 2017.
