Virtual career and internship fair set for October

More than 130 employers will be present at the 2021 Virtual GVSU Career and Internship Fair being held Thursday, October 7, from 2-6 p.m.

The virtual event is free and open to students and alumni seeking professional employment or internship opportunities. Participants can register online

Students will be able to sign up for one-on-one meetings, explore various career paths, build their professional networks and learn more about different organizations and professional opportunities.

To help students prepare, the GVSU Career Center is offering multiple “Prep Events,” which include a resume review workshop, and a workshop on how to pitch yourself in a virtual interview.

Employers attending the fair will represent a variety of disciplines in the business, nonprofit and public sectors.

Attendees are expected to dress professionally for the virtual event. To help, the Grandville JCPenney store is staying open late and offering a 30% discount to GVSU students, alumni and guests at their Suit Up event on October 3.
