Grand Valley will be testing the GVSUAlert! system Friday, October 4, at noon.

The test will include the outdoor warning system on the Allendale Campus.

All Grand Valley students, faculty and staff members will receive a test message by email; those who signed up for text and phone notifications will also receive the test message via those methods.

To update your primary phone number for receiving alerts, visit www.gvsu.edu/banner and click on Personal Information and then myProfile. Click on "Add New" in the Phone Number section and fill in your mobile number and check the box labeled Primary.

The alert test will be sent to computers in labs and kiosks across campus as a desktop notification; click "acknowledge" to reset. The test will also appear on all university website banners, including the homepage, until about 12:10 p.m.

For more information on the GVSUAlert! system and emergency procedures, visit www.gvsu.edu/emergency.
