Free tax help is available for people who make $55,000 or less, have a disability or consider English as a second language.

Grand Valley State University is a host site for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program through United Way that offers free tax return preparation and filing for qualifying individuals.

IRS-certified volunteers will be on hand, with assistance from GVSU faculty members and students, at the L. William Seidman Center on the Pew Grand Rapids Campus during several Saturdays from February-April.

This free service is by appointment only; appointments can be made by calling 211.
