Five Grand Valley faculty members were highlighted for their research in "The Academic Minute," a popular segment produced by WAMC.

The faculty members did a "takeover" of the segment for a week, showcasing a wide breadth of research over the five days.

Participants included Jeff Kelly Lowenstein, assistant professor of multimedia journalism; Ellen Schiller, professor of education; Alan Steinman, director of Grand Valley's Annis Water Resources Institute; Peter Wampler, professor of geology and faculty-in-residence in the Honors College; and Karen Zivi, associate professor of political science in Honors.

The segments air each day on WAMC and are distributed nationally to public radio stations across the country.
