Community forum focuses on Alzheimer's disease

Panelists at an upcoming Your Health Series forum will discuss the links between Alzheimer's disease research and care interventions and the impact of the disease on communities. 

“Exploring the Latest in Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care” is set for Monday, November 11, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the L. William Seidman Center on the Pew Grand Rapids Campus. The event is free and open to the public; RSVP online at gvsu.edu/vphealth.

Representatives from area health care organizations will be available from 5:30-6:30 p.m. to share resources.

Sponsors of the annual Your Health Series are Grand Valley, Spectrum Health and Michigan State University College of Human Medicine.

Panelists are Rebecca Davis, associate dean of research and scholarship for the Kirkhof College of Nursing; Mary McPhail-Ciufo, section chief for neurology and clinical neuropsychology for Spectrum Health; and Nicholas Kanaan, professor of translational neuroscience, MSU CHM.
