Seven students earned scholarships to purchase passports, the first step to a study abroad experience.

This marks the fourth year scholarships have been made available for qualified students who participate in the Oliver Wilson Freshman Academy or TRIO Student Support Services.

Four students from TRIO were selected: Deja Broaden, Rachel Ibarra, Darvell Reid and Avion Silas; and three from Freshman Academy: Phoenix Flores, Kalhi (Kayla) Rogers and Yamilet Rivas.

The scholarship program is supported by the Padnos International Center, TRIO-SSS and the Freshman Academy.
