Students, faculty and staff members at Grand Valley State University can register to vote at the Secretary of State's Mobile Unit when it visits campus September 25 on National Voter Registration Day.

The unit will be set up from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Cook Carillon Tower on the Allendale Campus. The midterm election in Michigan is November 6.

Other services that will be available at the unit include license, tabs and registration renewals and organ donor registry. The visit is part of Michigan Secretary of State Ruth Johnson’s 2018 “ExpressSOS” Voter Registration Drive, which includes visits to universities, colleges and community centers to raise awareness and educate voters about what to expect on Election Day.

The event is part of Grand Valley's National Voter Registration Week September 22-28, which includes events and activities that encourage and engage the campus community about the importance of voting. See a schedule of events at www.gvsu.edu/service/vote
