President Haas welcomes campus community to new academic year

President Thomas J. Haas sent a message to the campus community  August 28, welcoming students, faculty and staff members to a new academic year: 

Dear Grand Valley Community,

Welcome back to campus! New and returning students have moved in, and faculty and staff have plans for an exceptional year of learning and discovery. Classes have begun. The positive energy fills the air, and it is exciting to anticipate what we will create together this year. 

We remain steadfast in our dedication to student success. We value teaching and service to others. We know the important role you play in ensuring Grand Valley is a vibrant community with a reach beyond campus. We call this positive influence “The Laker Effect.”
