GVSU to test alert system Nov. 2

Grand Valley will be testing the GVSUAlert! system Friday, November 2, at noon.

The test will include the outdoor tornado siren system and the outdoor public address system on the Allendale Campus. 

All Grand Valley students, faculty and staff members will receive a test message by email; those who signed up for text and phone notifications will also receive the test message via those methods. To update notification preferences, visit www.gvsu.edu/emergency.

The alert test will be sent to computers in labs and kiosks across campus as a desktop notification; click "acknowledge" to reset. The test will also appear on all university website banners, including the homepage, until about 12:15 p.m.
