Free and confidential screenings offered on National Depression Screening Day

The University Counseling Center will participate in National Depression Screening Day on Thursday, October 4, to spread awareness about the signs and symptoms of depression and other mood disorders.

Students can complete a brief, confidential screening on campus, and will have the opportunity to meet with a counselor after to discuss results. Students who are not on campus can complete an online screening questionnaire at gvsu.edu/counsel

Screenings will take place at the following times and locations: 

Allendale Campus

• Kirkhof Center lobby, 10 a.m.-noon and 2-6 p.m.

• Campus Recreation Center, 2-6 p.m.

Pew Grand Rapids Campus

• DeVos Center (125C), 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

• Cook-DeVos Center for Health Sciences lobby, 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
