WGVU Public  Media has launched WGVU-PBS KIDS 24/7, which features education programming around the clock.

PBS KIDS 24/7 is available on channels 35.2/52.2 and as a live stream on pbskids.org; it's also available on the PBS KIDS Video App for mobile and tablet devices.

Michael T. Walenta, WGVU general manager, said the service ensures that high-quality content is available to all children and caregivers on a platform and at a time that works for them, including primetime, weekends and other out-of-school times when they are most likely to tune in.

"WGVU has been an integral part of the community for years, delivering content and services that parents trust and that move the needle in early learning," said Walenta. "We are excited to build on the work we do every day for West and Southwest Michigan families by adding these new 24/7 services, ensuring that our educational content is accessible anytime and anywhere to all kids."

PBS KIDS 24/7 includes more than 21 programs including Bob the Builder, Clifford the Big Red Dog, Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood, Odd Squad, Peg + Cat, Sesame Street, Super Why, Thomas & Friends, WordGirl and more.

WGVU will provide the PBS KIDS 24/7 channel in addition to its current primary PBS channel, WGVU-HD, which will continue to feature a PBS KIDS day part combined with award-winning dramas, documentaries and investigative journalism.

The schedule of children's programming on WGVU-HD will be different from the 24/7 channel, offering families a variety of options.
