Environmental policy expert kicks off 2017 Wheelhouse Talks

Julie Metty Bennett, an expert on public policy and environmental issues in Michigan, will discuss leadership and the environment at a Wheelhouse Talk on January 20. The event is hosted by the Hauenstein Center for Presidential Studies at Grand Valley State University.

Bennett, a principal and senior vice president for Public Sector Consultants (PSC), helps develop public policy for government and nonprofit organizations with ideas that are based in environmental practice. She has more than 20 years of research experience on environmental issues and manages PSC's energy and environment division, and facilitated the governor's 21st Century Infrastructure Commission.

During her Wheelhouse Talk, Bennett will discuss her leadership experience based on her groundbreaking research on electric reliability and capacity, as well as her experience managing nonprofit organizations.

Bennett's presentation will be followed by a reception for all attendees.
