Proposals for collaborative research at the Sustainable Agricultural Project are sought, the deadline to submit is May 15.

Faculty members are invited to submit proposals that center on projects related to Grand Valley's Sustainable Agricultural Project.

The Office of Undergraduate Research and Scholarship will offer funding of up to $6,000 annually to one project, or divided among multiple projects.

Amy McFarland, assistant professor of food and agricultural studies, honors, said this is the first year for grant funding. McFarland said proposals must involve students in the research, and added diverse ideas from any academic discipline are welcome.

Proposals need to address how students will be engaged and include a budget justification; click here to see additional criteria. An information session about the grants and application process will be held on May 9, 3 p.m., in Mary Idema Pew Library, room 230.

The deadline to submit a proposal is May 15. Applications can be forwarded to Susan Mendoza, director of undergraduate research and scholarship, at [email protected].

Funding is supported by OURS and the Brooks College of Interdisciplinary Studies.
