Grand Valley State University's Annis Water Resources Institute will be inducted into the Michigan Environmental Hall of Fame next month.

AWRI will be honored at a ceremony April 7 in Loosemore Auditorium on the Pew Grand Rapids Campus.

A total of 10 groups and people will be recognized for their contributions and work toward protecting the environment.

The only other organizations to be named to the Hall of Fame include the West Michigan Environmental Action Council and White Lake Restoration.

This is the fifth year the Michigan Environmental Hall of Fame has given the recognitions.
