WGVU wins AP General Excellence award

The WGVU-FM news team won 10 awards and a 2014 General Excellence title in the Radio 2 category from the Michigan Associated Press Media Editors (APME). 

The awards were announced at the APME banquet May 17 in Lansing. 

News Director Patrick Center won first place in the Best Hard News, Best Natural Sound and Best Individual Reporting categories. He also won second place for Best Enterprise/Investigative Reporting, Spot News and Best News Documentary.

WGVU-FM news reporter Hilary Farrell won first place for Best Spot Photojournalism and second place in Best Spot Photojournalism and Best Individual Reporting. 

Jennifer Moss, host of WGVU's Morning Edition, won first place for Best Newscast.
