WGVU general manager shares cancer story

Michael Walenta, general manager of WGVU Public Media, will share
his story of battling cancer on “Family Health Matters,” Sunday, March
29 at 3 p.m. on WGVU TV.
“One Family’s Journey” features Walenta and his family members
as they refuse to be defeated by the struggle cancer brings, and an
insight into their journey as they make decisions to be active in
life, work and play.
WGVU Public Media has created a local project in support of
cancer patients and their loved ones called, Managing the Journey:
Celebrating Life & Hope. The project is part of a national
initiative around the PBS Ken Burns documentary series, “Cancer: The
Emperor of All Maladies,” airing nationwide March 30, 31 and April 1,
from 9-11 p.m.
