Media tour Kindschi Hall of Science

Members of the media had an opportunity to tour the new P. Douglas Kindschi Hall of Science June 19.

The building will be open for classes August 31; a dedication ceremony will take place August 28.

The tour was given by Shannon Sullivan, project manager from Facilities Planning; Shaily Menon, associate dean from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences; and Aaron Perry, director of Lab Support.

The 151,000-square-foot facility includes nine classrooms, 15 teaching laboratories, 14 faculty and student research laboratories, study spaces, offices and a greenhouse. It will help meet the demand for the STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) and health professions fields.
