GV Writers Series to feature Nina McConigley

The Grand Valley Writers Series continues in November when author and educator Nina McConigley shares her award-winning work. 

McConigley will read from some of her most popular pieces and participate in a book signing Tuesday, November 17, at 6 p.m. in the Cook-DeWitt Center on the Allendale Campus. The event will be preceded by a craft talk from 2:30-3:45 p.m. in room 2215/16 in Kirkhof Center.

McConigley is the author of the story collection Cowboys and East Indians, which won the 2014 PEN Open Book Award and a High Plains Book Award. She has been a fellow at the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference and nominated for a Pushcart Prize, as well as for entry into The Best New American Voices. McConigley’s work has appeared in The New York Times, Orion, Salon, Virginia Quarterly Review, American Short Fiction, and The Asian American Literary Review, among others. She currently teaches at the University of Wyoming and at the Warren Wilson Program for Writers.
