Sibs and Kids Weekend features fun for all ages
One of Grand Valley’s oldest traditions, Sibs and Kids Weekend,
January 24 and 25, invites students and their younger family members
to enjoy a weekend full of activities including laser tag, a bounce
house, face painting, crafts and more.
Featured events listed below will take place in various
locations including the Kirkhof Center and the Fieldhouse. For a full

Snakes Alive!: January 24, 5-8 p.m., Kirkhof Center
Lounge
Get up close and personal with a variety of snakes with
insight from herpetologist, Keith Glisser.
Human iPod: January 24, 6 p.m., Thornapple Room,
Kirkhof Center
Audience members can chose from over 60 hours of
music and 600 different songs performed by acoustic guitar player,
Josh Rush.
2nd Annual Allendale Winter Festival: January 25, 10
a.m.-4 p.m., Allendale Township Park
Activities include cardboard
sled building contest, mini snowmobile course, sleigh rides, snowman
building contest, and 1k obstacle course. Transportation not provided.
Night at the YMCA: January 25, 1-7 p.m., 475 Lake
Michigan Dr., Grand Rapids
Guests can use the water slides,
swimming pools, climbing walls, and more.
The Kirkhof Center Theater will also be showing “Jumanji” and
“The Princess and the Frog” throughout the weekend.
Registration is required for guests and is available online
until January 23. There is a $20 registration fee for each
sibling/guest; events are free for students.
The event is part of the Laker Traditions program at Grand
Valley and is sponsored by the Office of Student Life.
