meetings in Indianapolis joined in the Chillin’ For Charity cause.
Participants — willingly — get a bucket of ice water dumped over
their heads. Proceeds from each Chillin For Charity event go to the
Kay Yow Fund, which raises money for research projects focused on
women’s cancers.
Haas serves as chair of the NCAA Division II Presidents’
Council. He was attending committee meetings July 18-20, including a
meeting of the Division II Student Athlete Advisory Committee.
He said the water was very cold but worth it for a good cause.
