Lodging and Tourism CEO praises Grand Valley

Steve Yencich, president and CEO of the Michigan Lodging and Tourism Association, praised Patty Janes, associate professor of hospitality and tourism management at Grand Valley, and the entire department, for spearheading the “Michigan Cares for Tourism” program.
Michigan Cares for Tourism is a volunteer-based program that
coordinates an annual clean-up event of a Michigan tourism treasure.
More than 400 volunteers, including a group of students from
Grand Valley, participated in a cleanup effort at Belle Isle Park, May
9, in Detroit.
