GVSU students, staff win public relations awards

Two Grand Valley students were co-winners of the Student of the Year award given by the West Michigan Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America.

Audra Hartges and Morgan Yingst were given the award at the 2014 PRoof Awards Gala held April 24 at the City Flats Hotel Ballroom in Grand Rapids.

Tim Penning, associate professor of public relations, received the award for PR Professional of the Year.

Staff members in the University Communications office at Grand Valley received 10 awards at the banquet.
