Kevin Strychar, associate professor of water resources, co-wrote an article, “Science, Education and Outreach Roadmap for Natural Resources,” prepared by the Association of Public and Land-Grant Universities.
Kurt Ellenberger, professor of music, honors college, will present a program, “The Magic of Music: How Music Works as a Language,” at the Women’s City Club in Grand Rapids on June 11 from 7-8:30 p.m. The presentation will explain the math, science, and psychoacoustics behind music.
Jason Crouthamel, associate professor of history, gave a keynote address, “Masculinity, Sexuality and German Soldiers in the First World War,” at the Annual Student History Conference at De Paul University in Chicago, Illinois.
WGVU Public Media received Communicator Awards for Gerald Ford Celebration, 40th Anniversary Brochure, Women & Girls Lead, ClubHouse Year End Party, Great Wine & Food Symposium Campaign, Michael Peterson Concert and Anniversary Celebration.
University Communicatons received Communicator Awards for Graduate Studies, Mary Idema Pew Library, Around Grand Valley Tour, AWRI Dedication and Seidman Center Dedication videos.
