Update on Little Mac Bridge

Engineers have identified the solution to the erosion issue near the Little Mac Bridge on the Allendale Campus. It’s been closed since September 6 for evaluation and will likely remain closed for six to eight more weeks.

Based on the extensive analysis and plan by civil and structural engineers, work will begin October 7 restoring the ground around the bridge foundations. This restoration will protect the area around bridge foundations from additional erosion.

  Students and other pedestrians will be rerouted for the duration of the project. Further updates and details will be provided as appropriate.
