Students enter 'Window Wonderland' competition
A group of Grand Valley students are competing for a $1,000 prize
by designing, creating and installing winter-themed window displays at
two businesses in downtown Grand Rapids.
They are competing with students from Kendall College of Art and
Design in “Window Wonderland,” organized by Downtown Grand Rapids, Inc.
Coordinated by the Office of Student Life at Grand Valley, a group
of students designed and installed the displays in two shops located
in MoDiv, a shopping center located on the corner of Monroe Center and
Division Avenue. Dear Prudence is an accessory boutique and RitaGirl's
is a bakery.
The contest began November 22, with the official lighting of the
downtown holiday decorations. Shoppers who enter the stores will judge
the displays and cast their votes. The contest will end December 9 and
winners will be announced December 13.
