The Women’s Center, Office of Multicultural Affairs, LGBT Resource Center and Sociology Department are seeking stories for a new campus production, “Act Up: Dialogues About Oppression & Resistance.”

The production will focus on raising awareness and starting conversations about topics related to social justice.

“We’ve performed The Vagina Monologues and That Takes Ovaries! for more than 12 years, so we’re excited for this new production,” said Brittany Dernberger, assistant director of the Women’s Center. “This performance will broaden the dialogue about oppression and resistance by examining scenes from an intersectional lens.”

Stories can be submitted by emailing Dernberger at [email protected]; shared in person October 29, 1-4 p.m., in room 1249, Kirkhof Center; or shared during a scheduled one-on-one meeting.

Submissions are due October 31. The selected stories will be performed by Act on Racism and ReACT! on April 15.
